Marpare Dondurma is a brand that has been introducing the unique taste of Kahramanmaraş ice cream to the world since 1990. Our craftsmen with 31 years of experience produce these traditional flavors in the highest quality with the natural sahlebi of Mount Ahir and goat milk.

ICE CREAM SOUFFLÉ

Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs,
  • 100 g sugar,
  • 50 g flour,
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa,
  • 50 g butter,
  • 200 g Marpare ice cream

 

Preparation:
  • First, preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Beat the eggs and sugar with a mixer, then add the flour and cocoa and mix.
  • Add the melted butter and pour the mixture into the soufflé dishes.
  • Top with the pre-frozen Marpare ice cream and
  • put it back in the oven.
  • Cook for about 1-2 minutes.
  • The soufflés should be cooked on the outside and frozen on the inside.
  • Serve hot.

Semolina Halva with Ice Cream

Ingredients:
  • 250 g butter
  • 500g semolina
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 glass of water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • Marpare Ice Cream
Preparation:
  • For the syrup, put the water, milk and sugar in a suitable mixing bowl and mix until the sugar dissolves.
  • Then put the butter into a suitable pot and melt it.
  • Add the semolina and start roasting it over medium heat while stirring. Roast for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the syrup to the roasted semolina and close the lid of the pot.
  • Let's mix the halva that has absorbed the syrup and after it thickens, turn off the stove and let it steep.
  • When we are going to serve, let's put the halva into the bowl that we covered with cling film. Spread the halva so that the center remains hollow.
  • Let's put ice cream in the middle of our halva and then cover the bottom base with halva.
  • Let's turn our bowl upside down on our service plate and decorate it as we wish. Our semolina halva with ice cream is ready to serve. Enjoy your meal.

Maraş Ice Cream Story

Maraş ice cream is a traditional dessert that has been appreciated for centuries with its historical origins dating back to the Ottoman period and its unique flavor made from goat’s milk fed with natural plants.

The origin of Maraş ice cream dates back to the Ottoman period is based on a historical story. According to the story, a shopkeeper named Osman Aga from Maraşlı used to sell salep made from wild orchid roots in the Ottoman palace.
One day, he mixed the leftover salep with milk and sugar and buried it in the snow. The next day, when he checked the mixture, he realized that the salep and milk had thickened in the cold air to the consistency of chewing gum. Osman Aga let the people around him taste this newfound flavor and received great acclaim. Initially known as “karsambaç with salep”, this flavor was developed over time and named “Maraş ice cream”. One of the most important features of Maraş ice cream is that it is made from the milk of goats that are fed with natural plants such as thyme, crocus, crocus, keven and hyacinth in the mountains of Maraş. This natural nutrition gives the ice cream its unique flavor and durability.
Today, Maraş ice cream is known as a traditional dessert consumed with great pleasure all over Turkey. Recognized both locally and internationally, this unique taste is a delicious legacy of a centuries-old tradition. We are proud to offer you this heritage under the Marpare Ice Cream Brand.
